Taking Poker to the People!
It all started in 2005 – this was the year the first Australian ever, won $10MILLION at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. It was also the year 888PL hosted our first FREE Poker tournament, and began bringing poker out into the open.
Ever since then, our goal has been – and always will be – to make poker accessible to as many people as possible. So that anyone – and everyone – can enjoy the game for FREE – without risking any money.
Poker for fun, not for gambling
As far as we're concerned, poker is fun. We treat it as a game – nothing more. Which is why you never have to pay to play – it's absolutely FREE! Poker is fun-orientated like Uno, but even more exciting and engaging, because it's all about improving your skills and the chance to win amazing prizes – whether you win a tournament or not!
How can poker be FREE?
As an entertainment company, APL gets paid by the pubs, clubs or hotels who hire our services. The costs are covered by them, so that we can offer FREE Poker to their customers: people like you.

888PL FREE Poker events are first and foremost about fun. It's not an issue if you're an expert or a beginner. We're here to help you learn in a friendly atmosphere – the most important thing is having a good time out with family and friends.
And you can rest assured that lots of those friends will be new ones. Because once you sit down at a FREE Poker table, you'll soon see how friendly and fun a poker game can be.
So bring out your poker face, but be warned: it's hard not to smile!
